Job Title: Senior OpenShift AdministratorInfrastructure Engineers implement, manage, and retire infrastructure that supports digital services, including physical, virtual, networking, and cloud infrastructure.The agency seeks a highly skilled Senior OpenShift Administrator experienced in monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of on-premises Red Hat OpenShift clusters, especially within government services.The ideal candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot problems, automate solutions, and lead cloud projects.
They should also mentor junior staff and integrate seamlessly into a complex, dynamic team environment.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot OpenShift or other Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.Assist developers in automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using OpenShift, GitOps platform, and CI/CD pipelines.Oversee cluster management, resource allocation, configuration, and capacity planning within Red Hat OpenShift environments.Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.Ensure security of OpenShift environments through best practices, vulnerability scanning, network segmentation, and role-based access control.Lead technical teams in executing OpenShift projects, mentoring junior engineers, and managing project timelines.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business goals.Maintain comprehensive documentation and actively share knowledge with the team.On-call duties and occasional out-of-hours support may be required but are not the default expectations.
