Position: Teacher - Computing (Digital Technologies)

Work Type: Permanent - Full Time

Salary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,046 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

The School

Warnbro Community High School (CHS) is seeking a highly motivated and effective Digital Technologies Teacher. Our moral purpose is to make a positive difference to the lives of young people. The school is located 50 km south of Perth in the beach-side communities of Warnbro and Port Kennedy, and is committed to building a professional learning community that uses evidence and research to meet student needs.

Warnbro CHS aims to embed an explicit teaching approach across all Learning Areas and to improve student outcomes by meeting students at their point of need.

You should set high expectations and establish a dynamic and positive classroom learning environment. The successful applicant should be passionate about Digital Technologies with the ability to engage students across all levels.

Responsibilities

- Deliver Digital Technologies instruction and apply differentiated instruction and explicit teaching strategies.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and use a range of pedagogies to meet student needs.
- Contribute to a professional learning community and support staff development where appropriate.

- Experience and knowledge in teaching Digital Technologies.
- Ability to apply differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.
- Flexible and adaptive teaching approach; strong classroom management skills.

Eligibility

- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
