About the role
If you are looking for job security with a successful and growing Australian company, then this is the role for you Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with over 3 years' experience to join their team in Wetherill Park. Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for dismantling, assessing, repairing and assembling pumps, gearboxes and motors.
* Perform levelling and alignment of engineering assemblies.
* Maintain and repair power transmission systems.
* Maintain, fault find and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* Provide operational support to field staff regarding plant issues.
Skills & experience
1. You will be a trade qualified fitter with relevant licenses
2. 3 + years previous fitter experience is a must working with pumps, gearboxes & motors.
3. You must be an Australian resident to apply with an Australian Drivers License
4. Taking direction, being self-motivated and having the ability to follow safety procedures is essential for this role.
* Applicants must have extensive pump and gearbox overhaul experience in a workshop environment
Culture
This company provides stability and great working hours with an organised, highly operational workshop environment. Hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm with penalty rates applied. Overtime is required from time to time and work is predominantly based on premises.
Benefits
This full-time position provides great company incentives, career growth and opportunities for the right person. The salary package on offer is $45 - $50 p/h + Super depending on experience. The role provides you with an opportunity that could lead to a supervisor's role down the track as well as on-site work so you can get out of workshop from time to time
