The Queensland Fire Department (QFD) works to preempt, prevent, mitigate and manage the consequences of fire and other emergencies for Queensland communities. The QFD People and Culture Directorate collaborates with leaders to build exceptional teams that carry out this vital work.
Your Opportunity
This senior position is ideal for an experienced HR professional passionate about recruitment, talent development and organisational culture. You will partner with business leaders to provide expert advice on best‑practice recruitment and people strategies, delivering end‑to‑end support to attract, select and retain top talent.
In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
* Proactively develop and embed recruitment and selection processes to support strategies that improve all stages of the recruitment and selection experience.
* Represent QFD at external career events to maximise attraction opportunities.
* Design inclusive processes to enhance the overall experience for all candidates.
* Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and networks across the department and business partners to identify opportunities, collaborate and achieve outcomes.

* A passion for finding innovative process improvement options that lead to excellent results for the department, QFD applicants and the wider Queensland community.
