We're Hiring a Medical Admin Professional
Hunter Podiatry Services is growing and we are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Medical Administrator to support our podiatrists and ensure an exceptional experience for our patients.
This role is best suited to someone with previous administration experience in a healthcare or allied health setting. We are looking for someone who enjoys structured work, takes pride in accuracy, and can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Essential Requirements
Applications will only be considered if you have:
• Previous administration experience in a healthcare or allied health clinic
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional written and phone communication skills
• Confidence managing multiple tasks and priorities
• Reliable and proactive work ethic
Highly Regarded Experience
Experience with any of the following will be viewed favourably:
• Appointment scheduling and clinician rostering
• Medicare, private health or third-party billing
• NDIS or third-party compliance processes
• Managing referrals and clinical correspondence
• Medical software systems
• Stock control and ordering
The Role
This is not just a reception role — you will play an important part in supporting our clinical team and improving the way our practice runs.
Responsibilities include:
Patient Administration
• Appointment scheduling and diary management
• Billing and payment processing
• Phone and email communication with patients and referrers
• Managing referrals and documentation
• Maintaining accurate patient records
Practice Operations
• Supporting clinic systems and processes
• Rostering and administrative coordination
• Third-party and NDIS administration
• Stock control and ordering
Clinical Support
• Instrument sterilisation
• Assisting podiatrists with clinic preparation
