Job Title: Perinatal Midwife Specialist
The registered perinatal midwife specialist provides direct care to women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal period. The role involves supporting excellence in midwifery practice, providing high-quality patient outcomes and optimizing the perinatal journey of women and their families.
About the Role:
This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled midwife to join our team. The ideal candidate will have contemporary clinical knowledge in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal midwifery practice, with the ability to deliver competent midwifery care in complex situations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct midwifery care with clinical competence and capability
* Optimize the perinatal journey of women and their families
* Work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide woman-centered care
* Demonstrate competence in the provision of midwifery care
Requirements:
* Contemporary clinical knowledge in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal midwifery practice
* Ability to provide patient and family centered care
* High standard of communication and engagement with healthcare team members, patients and visitors
* Ability to educate and support patients and families on general and clinical information relevant to patient's care
