Lendlease ACT is currently seeking a Construction Planner to join our team in Canberra and support the delivery of a major, long-term project.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Develop and implement comprehensive construction methodologies, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
* Conduct constructability reviews to identify potential issues and optimise construction methods.
* Collaborate with project engineers and construction managers to understand project requirements and develop effective construction plans and schedules using Primavera P6.
* Analyse project progress, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project completion dates are met.
* Provide expert advice on construction planning, methods, and best practices to project teams, focusing on constructability and efficient project delivery.
* Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements For The Role
* To be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
* A Government Security Clearance, or the ability to gain and maintain one.
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with experience in planning and programming, preferably in large-scale building projects.
* Proven experience in developing and managing construction plans and schedules using Primavera P6.
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, including critical path method (CPM) scheduling, lean construction principles, and constructability reviews.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising multiple tasks and deadlines.
Desirable Skills
* Experience working on high-security facilities, such as government buildings, military bases, or sensitive infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of security protocols and procedures for working on sensitive projects.
* Experience with other project management software, such as Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse/Risk.
* Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
