Programmed Maintenance Services – Welshpool WA
We are seeking an experienced Yard and Workshop Operator to support operations within a plant maintenance workshop for a large rail organisation based in Welshpool. This role is responsible for managing plant movements, deliveries, yard operations and general workshop support to ensure safe and efficient day-to-day activities.
This is a minimum 3-month ongoing opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. The role is workshop and yard based with standard hours of 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work.
Role Overview
* Manage traffic flow and deliveries of plant and equipment in and out of the workshop and yard.
* Coordinate deliveries and pickups of larger items from third-party vendors.
* Operate a Franna crane to move plant and equipment within the workshop and yard.
* Operate a forklift to load, unload and relocate plant and equipment.
* Manage waste removal from the workshop and coordinate with third-party vendors
* Conduct wash down and cleaning of returned plant and equipment.
* Perform general workshop and yard cleaning including operation of floor scrubbers and other equipment.
* Complete plant and equipment inspections including pre-start checks.
* Undertake occasional working at heights when required.
* Assist with general yard and workshop duties as required.
Key Requirements
* Manual driver's licence minimum HR with Road Ranger gearbox experience.
* Current High Risk Work Licence including WP, LF, DG, CV, LO and CN.
* Working at Heights certification.
* Construction White Card.
* Strong safety awareness and ability to work within a safety-critical environment.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to pass pre employment medical and drug and alcohol

* Excavator ticket.
