Sales Representative – North Queensland
Mackay to Cairns | $65K–$75K OTE + Uncapped Commission + Bonuses

If you’re after a tidy little office job, where the highlight of your day is spinning your chair, topping up your instant coffee, and choosing which mug best says “don’t talk to me ‘til I’ve had my caffeine”—this ain’t it.
This is a role for someone who prefers open roads to open plans, real conversations over buzzwords, and solving actual problems instead of sitting in meetings that should’ve been emails. You’ll be covering one of the most diverse and opportunity-packed patches in the country—from Mackay to Cairns—visiting factories, commercial properties, Hotels, resorts, sugar mills, and the occasional place where you’re not quite sure what they do… but they definitely need your help.
You’ll meet characters, have laughs, learn the art of a good smoko chat, and build genuine relationships that turn into long-term customers.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing your own territory across Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, and everywhere in between
- Booking appointments, walking into sites, and following up like a pro
- Presenting solutions that actually work—no fluff, no snake oil
- Building genuine relationships with new and existing clients
- Using structured systems (that are actually useful) to stay organised
- Planning your days so you're not just “busy,” but effective
- Becoming a known, trusted face across a region that still values reputation
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Like working independently and don’t need someone checking your calendar
- Can walk into any setting—be it a resort, high rise building, factory —and have a proper conversation
- Are driven, resilient, and curious (and maybe a bit competitive)
- Are good at following up, keeping notes, and staying on top of your own momentum
- Have a full licence and a reliable vehicle
- Know your way around an iPad and can learn a CRM without throwing it at a wall
- Have a sense of humor and know how to use it
About the Role
- Direct selling of Water Treatment Specialty Chemicals
- Source for new customers within a defined territory; make face-to-face sales calls
- Will be responsible to map the market, drive sales and nurture relationship with clients to achieve long-term revenue targets
- “Hands-on” servicing of accounts which includes but is not limited to; chemical testing, calibration and repair of chemical feed related equipment, and visual inspections of systems as necessary.
- Schedule service and sales calls – includes daily, weekly and monthly reporting on salesforce
