CGC Recruitment are working with a National Tier 2 Contractor/Builder who primarily focus on Building and Civil Infrastructure upgrade within the Rail corridor. They are growing rapidly in SE QLD and have recently secured x2 Infrastructure Upgrades for their key client Queensland Rail. They are targeting projects from $5-300ml and due to this growth have identified a critical need for a Senior Project Engineer to join the business on a full time basis.
Job Description
CGC Recruitment are working with a National Tier 2 Contractor/Builder who primarily focus on Building and Civil Infrastructure upgrade within the Rail corridor. They are growing rapidly in SE QLD and have recently secured x2 Infrastructure Upgrades for their key client Queensland Rail. They are targeting projects from $5-300ml and due to this growth have identified a critical need for a Senior Project Engineer to join the business on a full time basis.
As Senior Project Engineer you will have full Engineering accountability where responsibilities will include; managing designers & overcoming design issues, interfacing with the client, procurement of materials, forecasting, weekly reporting and overseeing work delivered by subcontractors. You will also be expected to mentor x2 Site Engineers so future leadership skills are required. The scopes of work you will be responsible for will Trade packages (carpentry, electrical etc), blockwork, cladding and finishing works.
The position has been created due to business growth and is without doubt a full-time hire offering security and development in oppose to just a "project hire".
Selection Criteria
* Minimum 5 years Site based Construction experience
* Degree Qualified Civil Engineer or Equivalent
* Must have Building Construction experience
* Experience working in a brownfield construction environment is preferred
* Must be a self-start who can mentor junior engineers
* Methodical when it comes to planning and preparation
