Workshop Diesel Mechanic
We are seeking an experienced workshop mechanic to join our Mining Equipment department located in Unanderra. The role involves working on QDS, Secondary Support, Longwall Move, and Material Handling Equipment for purchase and hire. These are custom-designed and built to meet our clients' specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Report to the Workshop Supervisor
* Conduct pre-start checks
* Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment
* Plan replacements or repairs of machinery components
* Contribute to safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency improvements at the worksite
* Repair diesel equipment such as LHDs and Drift Runners
* Adhere to company policies and procedures
About You:
* Relevant trade qualifications
* Car licence
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug testing
* Forklift license (desirable)
* Experience with mining equipment (desirable)
* Additional relevant tickets, licenses, or qualifications
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
* Strong communication skills
