**Operations Assistant**:
**Job Responsibilities**:
**Operations Assistant Job In Port Adelaide,Australia**:
- Monitor validity of crew qualifications and certifications and maintain database of records
- Liaise with external vendors to coordinate travel booking and work permits for foreign seafarers and office staff as required
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for seafarers
- Coordinate training, permits, inductions and site visits for management and stakeholders
- Assist in processing of invoices and creation of purchase orders
- Support technical management and vessels with maintenance of vessel certification systems
- Support the local office with adhoc administrative duties including coordination of catering, setting/tidying up of meeting rooms, arranging meetings and events, preparation of documentation, etc, as required
**Skills**:
- Demonstrated experience in administration and knowledge of clerical procedures and systems
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to work effectively under pressure, manage priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Experience in developing and streamlining processes and procedures
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite
It would also be beneficial if you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration or a similar discipline
- Previous experience in the maritime industry
