About the role
The position of Account Manager maintains current relationships with customers while proactively sourcing solutions to meet customer needs. Relationship building is an important part of this role as is promoting our clients product offering and actively identifying market opportunities for potential new products
Responsibilities
5. Develop and /or review strategies in conjunction with the MD and Business Unit Manager – Agriculture and Environmental Solutions prior to the commencement of each financial year
6. Manage the accounts for which you are responsible, targeting budgeted sales and profitability as a minimum. Call scheduling/planning, timely call reporting and communication with the Account Manager – Agriculture/Horti are essential parts of the position.
7. Work with the technical team to conduct small pilot blends and the required testing .
8. Evaluate & streamline current pack sizes & where profitable initiate revised pack size options to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
9. 5 years’ experience in Crop Nutrient with a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy desirable
10. Self-motivated to start up new initiatives to generate more sales;
11. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills;
12. Creative to develop new means to generate interest and fill the sales pipeline;
13. The ability to adapt to new requirements and have a flexible approach;
14. Highly organized and able to meet principal expectations
15. Confident in interacting at all levels within the business;
16. Innovative;
17. The ability to think commercially and deliver result.
