About the Role
Chandler Macleod is seeking a skilled Robot Welder Setter to join a production team located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You will set up and operate robotic welding systems to produce high-quality fuel tanks and components, ensuring all work meets strict quality standards. This is a hands-on role for someone technically capable, safety-conscious, and experienced in manufacturing and robotic welding.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and program robotic welders for fuel tank ends and sockets.
* Adjust welding programs and settings for material type and thickness.
* Conduct FIRST OFF inspections and quality checks per drawings and specifications.
* Perform daily robot maintenance and keep welding jigs organised.
* Support maintenance personnel to ensure optimal robot performance.
* Follow Process Control Plans, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines.
* Accurately measure components and interpret engineering drawings.
* Maintain production records and documentation in the quality management system.
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate II in Production or Engineering (or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality systems.
* Experience with robotic welding operations is highly desirable.
