Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist
Job Description:
* Prepare and manage weekly cash flow forecasts for the organisation.
* Develop and present monthly financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
* Assist in investigating and resolving material variances from budget expenditure.
* Consolidate and distribute various financial reports to assigned business areas.
* Prepare and post monthly journals, including prepayments, provisions, and accruals.
* Maintain accurate records of WIP files, including interpretation of financial data.
* Prepare and post monthly consolidation journals.
* Review and analyse monthly overhead reports, consolidation journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support external audits by ensuring audit files and statutory accounts are organised.
* Analyse intercompany loans, reconciliations, and records.
* Update project budgets to accurately record and allocate costs.
* Generate detailed financial statements for management.
* Provide technical guidance and advice to operational teams on financial matters.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through ad-hoc daily accounting tasks.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience working in a project-based construction environment is highly valued.
* Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
* Bachelor of Business/Commerce - Accounting degree is desirable.
* Strong computer skills, with a focus on Excel.
* Familiarity with large ERP systems is advantageous.
* Exceptional organisational, written, and communication skills are essential.
