About the Role As a Paediatric Neurosurgery Fellow, you will provide high-level clinical care while actively contributing to the research, educational, and safety culture of the Division of Surgery and Perioperative Care. Clinical Excellence & Research * Deliver expert care: Provide clinical neurosurgical services at a Fellow level, ensuring compassionate, patient-centred communication and collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork. * Documentation & Quality: Maintain accurate, comprehensive medical records and discharge documentation. Proactively lead clinical audits, risk management, and evidence-based research projects. * Continuous Improvement: Utilize critical appraisal skills to advance clinical practice and maintain proficiency through regular procedural training. Education & Development * Mentorship: Actively supervise and teach junior medical staff, students, and allied health professionals. You will serve as a role model for ethical, team-oriented professional behavior. * Professional Growth: Meet all mandatory training and assessment requirements, contribute to term evaluations, and maximize your own development to complete specialist neurosurgery training. * Academic Opportunities: Eligible Fellows are encouraged to apply for a University of Queensland Academic Title.
