IP Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and outgoing Team Leader/Leading Hand to work with one of our small privately owned companies based in Canning Vale. This company has been manufacturing various plastic products for over 15 years. With a strong knowledge of plastic and its application, and the fabrication of performance plastic products, the Team Leader/Leading Hand role will see you assist with operational responsibility and accountability for the operations of the factory, including the safety of all workers, staff and visitors to the factory, operation and maintenance of the equipment and productivity of the workforce. To be successful in this role all applicants will need to have experience in the below:
* Lead and direct the team and participate in any future formalised feedback system
* Ensure safe operations, address/rectify safety issues as they arise, seek guidance/authority when issues are more significant.
* Ensure that a quality product which is correctly made and fit for purpose is delivered every time.
* Ensure operational staff are employed to optimise their contribution to the business daily and to complete required work with minimal use of overtime
* Develop strong working relationships with the operational team
As well as experience in the above applicants will also need to meet the following criteria:
* Be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia (No visas sorry)
* Have previous Team Leader or Leading Hand experience
* Have a strong mechanical aptitude
* Hold a current forklift ticket
* Be available to work Monday - Friday 38 hours per week and overtime when required
* Have sound knowledge of the plastic manufacturing industry
This position will see the successful applicant trained on both day shift 6am - 2pm and afternoon shift 2pm - 10pm.
