Lead Installation Specialist
The Installation Manager oversees a team of installers, ensuring quality operational functions and using designs to construct custom storage systems.
This leadership role requires supervision experience, cabinetry or carpentry skills, and the ability to read documents such as safety rules and operating instructions. Additionally, this position involves working in various indoor and outdoor environments, including weather conditions, noise, sawdust, and other external factors.
* Manage the installation schedule, headcount, and training of skilled and semi-skilled installers.
* Lead team members to ensure high-quality brand experiences for clients and team members by coaching them to comply with standard installation practices.
Duties:
1. Responsible for accomplishing revenue targets by managing the installation schedule, hiring the correct headcount for the team, and training and developing skilled and semi-skilled installers to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in a residential environment.
2. Ensure that the installation department is completing projects accurately and efficiently with minimal errors.
3. Monitor ordering of tools and installation supplies controlling disbursement and purchasing.
4. Assist in fleet management, coordinating repairs, maintenance, outfitting of new vans and ensuring they are kept in standards for cleanliness and organization.
5. Handle customer escalations for any installation issues, damage to property or missed quality expectations.
6. Manage the installation department safety program, ensuring that all installers have completed safety modules, tools and PPE are in compliance and create a culture of safety as a top priority.
7. Coach and develop the team through monthly meetings, annual performance reviews and a formal training program for new hires and ongoing development.
8. Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, and safety.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
* Trade or vocational school experience desirable.
* Cabinetry or carpentry skills required.
* Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments being subjected to the weather, noise, sawdust, and other external factors.
* Ability to operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job-specific equipment and tools.
