We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Senior Employment Lawyer for my client who are well known Not for Profit organiation. This is a great opportunity for somone who would like to develop their knowledge and experience.
The purpose of the role is to provide expert workplace relations services to businesses and develop strong commercial relationships with clients.
Duties:
* Inviting members to and attending events
* Building repeat client base by managing relationships with existing clients
* High level quality of work and client management
* Preparation of high-quality presentations or articles that are relevant to existing and prospective clients
* Teamwork and collaboration with co-workers and other Business Units
* Support, coach and mentor junior team members in technical matters while fostering a supportive and respectful team environment
What we're looking for
* At least 5 years' post admission experience
* Ideally, current Senior Associate but an Associate with suitable technical experience may be appropriate.
* Experience negotiating enterprise agreements and advising on the process (this is critical to our team and would be at the top of the list in terms of expertise)
* Litigation experience - Federal Court experience would be great. Generally looking for litigation experience in unfair dismissals, general protections etc. Fair Work Commission.
* Workplace investigations.
* Employment law/ workplace relations advice - interpretation of industrial instruments, wages and compliance advice etc
* Experience supervising / mentoring junior lawyers.
