An exciting career chance has arisen for an experienced Trade Mark Administrator to join our growing Intellectual Property Team in Melbourne.
Role
In this full‐time role, assisted by partners and lawyers, you will manage the team's thriving IP practice and may work four days a week if required.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and filing trade mark and design applications.
* Renewing trade mark and design registrations.
* Preparing standard correspondence for trade mark and design matters.
* Filing correspondence, evidence and other documents with IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO.
* Processing correspondence from IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO.
* Maintaining the IP management database and monitoring deadlines.
* Conducting IP searches to assist with portfolio audits, due diligence and competitor watches.
* Managing matters including conflict checks, client onboarding, file maintenance and billing.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in the core IP activities described above.
* Good working understanding of IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO systems and processes.
* Experience using IP management and docketing software (e.g., PattsyWave or similar).
* Exceptional communication, attention to detail and diary management skills.
* Great teamwork skills and ability to work independently, taking responsibility for tasks.
