This team focuses on understanding consumer needs and market capacity to create the right product mix for the Australia & New Zealand marketplace.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Lead to drive growth for one of the world's most famous outdoor brands, Merrell. As the ideal candidate, you will excel in understanding local and global market consumer trends to build profitable and consumer-right assortments for the ANZ market.
Main Responsibilities
* Partner with Global and Regional brand principle to drive key brand strategies in the market.
* Develop robust pricing architecture to accelerate brand positioning whilst maximising commercial outcomes.
* Partner with key wholesale customers on special projects, seasonal requirements and further product developments.
* Play a key role in the GTM touchpoints with both sales and direct to consumer.
* In conjunction with commercial teams drive the assortment planning process including market capacities, net sales & margin requirements.
Core Competencies
* Demonstrated at least 2+ years in merchandising capacity in footwear, apparel or accessories lead consumer product industry.
* Astute understanding of the Sports Performance, Running & Fashion markets.
* Must be creative, strategic, analytical, innovative and a problem-solver.
* Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Design skills are a plus but not essential.
* Ability to work autonomously but take direction from multiple stakeholders.
* Confident presenting in front of small to large internal teams.
* Be available for domestic and international travel as required.
