Job Description
Zerella Fresh is one of Australia's largest growers and packers of carrots, onions and potatoes supplying Australia's leading supermarket chains, independents and exports.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated PRODUCTION HORTICULTURE SUPERVISORS to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Virginia site in South Australia.
As a valuable member of our team, this position will play a vital role in the success of our operations.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Reporting directly to the Farm Leader you will be working in an outdoor farm environment.
An attractive remuneration package between $65,000 and $85,000 is available to the right candidates.
Duties
Preparing the soil, tiling, planting, fertilising and harvesting the crops.
Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and labourers.
Carry out and oversee the planting program.
Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
Deliver the planting program as per instruction from the Operations Manager.
Coordinate seed production, seed sourcing, purchase and inventory.
Coordinate the repair and maintenance of all fertigation, spreading and spray equipment.
Responsible for the calibration of all fertigation, spreading and spray equipment.
Report to the Operations Manager on water usage versus issued licence quotas.
Maintain quality control and production records.
Evaluate compatible break crops.
Maintain ground soil sustainability.
All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
Diploma in a relevant field plus at least 1 year of relevant experience or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in horticultural operations/farm management.
Experience in the management of potato, carrot and onion crops (desirable).
Basic mechanical knowledge and experience working with large-scale agricultural machinery.
Unrestricted Class C Driver's Licence (essential).
Chemical User Certificate Accreditation (essential).
Forklift licence (essential).
HC licence (essential).
Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to undertake manual and sometimes physical work.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.
A willingness to be hands-on and participate in a broad range of duties; a strong work ethic is essential.
Respect for others and pride in the team's performance.
Commitment to ongoing learning.
Commitment to delivering team goals and the drive to be successful.
This position will require weekend and night work in line with production demands.
