Rockcrete QLD Pty Ltd - Rockcrete provides specialist concrete placement and pumping services across high-rise development, civil, industrial and residential projects, with capabilities spanning concrete supply & pumping as well as placement and finishing. The team delivers end-to-end structural packages, working closely with builders to achieve high-quality finishes.
As a Management Accountant at Rockcrete QLD Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering timely financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cost and margin analysis, and commercial insights to support project delivery and business decision-making across concrete pumping and placement operations.. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach with operational teams.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies and procedures to support project-based operations.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements for presentation to management and stakeholders.
* Examine operating costs, project margins, income and expenditure to identify variances and improvement opportunities.
* Develop budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections aligned to construction schedules and resource planning.
* Conduct financial investigations and prepare reports to support commercial decisions, risk management and compliance.
* Maintain and enhance job costing, work-in-progress and profitability reporting across multiple sites and contracts.
* Partner with project managers to monitor labour, plant and subcontractor costs and provide actionable performance insights.
* Support statutory reporting and compliance requirements (e.g., GST/BAS and internal controls) and assist with audit preparation.
* Contribute to tendering and pricing by analysing historical costs, overhead allocations and expected margins.
* Drive process improvements in accounting systems and reporting to improve accuracy, timeliness and data integrity.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant qualification.
* Minimum 3 years experience as a Management Accountant
* Advanced financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
* Ability to work closely with operational teams in a fast-paced project environment.
* High proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $80,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
