Responsibilities
* Undertake independent teaching in a dentistry discipline and/or clinical dentistry, contributing to outstanding educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomes
* Engage in high‐quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the University's expectations and standards for education
* Design and deliver quality educational units of study and experiences that support student needs and meet curriculum requirements
* Contribute to the development and implementation of assessment in alignment with School, Faculty and University initiatives and policies
* Supervise research students at undergraduate level in accordance with the School, Faculty and University requirements
* Apply scholarship and contemporary pedagogical knowledge to innovate education
* Carry out administrative tasks primarily connected with the discipline
* Contribute to a positive workplace culture that values diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes
* Understand and contribute to advancing the University and Faculty strategic agenda
Qualifications
* A dental qualification and current general registration as a dentist with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA); a PhD (completed or near completion) is desirable
* Experience delivering high‐quality teaching in dentistry across all student levels, and delivering clinical teaching in a tertiary environment
* Demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives that enhance student outcomes
* Ability to collaborate with discipline heads and course coordinators to develop, deliver and mark teaching materials and assessments
* Experience supervising or mentoring colleagues and coordinating team activities to support professional growth and effective teamwork
* Demonstrated excellence in research, scholarly activities relevant to the discipline, and educational design and practice
* Capacity to undertake high‐quality research studies and publish in recognised journals in line with the School's minimum requirements
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with a collegial, team‐oriented nature and experience working collaboratively
* Highly developed organisational and planning skills, with the proven ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines
