The Position
Title: Qualified Chef/Trade Cook
Department: Corporate Services
Classification: Health & Allied, Managers & Admin Workers
Status: Casual
* Excellent working hours, no split shifts or late nights!
* Rotate through all sections within the kitchen
Applications are sought from suitably qualified Chefs with previous commercial cooking experience to work in the Food Services Department at Echuca Regional Health.
* Key responsibilities include:
o Preparing all menu items according to recipe provided
o Supervise the plating of meals to ensure visual appeal
o Maintain all records associated with the Food Safety Program
o Provide recipe ideas and suggestions for improvement
Our team requires someone who has:
o Trade Certificate
o Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
o High-level awareness of safety and privacy
o Demonstrated knowledge of the Food Standards Code including Allergen Management / Control
o Excellent communication skills
o The ability to prioritise workloads
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
