Job description
As a Disability Support Worker at RISU Care, you will provide person-centred support to individuals living with disability, promoting independence, dignity, and active participation in their daily lives and community. This includes assisting with personal care, household tasks, medication, transport, and implementing individualised support plans. You will also contribute to documentation, communication with families and teams, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment that aligns with NDIS Practice Standards and RISU Care's values.
About the role
RISU Care Pty. Ltd. is seeking a Support Worker to join our team around Geelong, Vic. In this casual position, you will provide ongoing support for our participant living around in Geelong, Vic.
Locations:
* Geelong, Victoria
What you'll be doing
* Assist with personal care tasks as required, such as toileting, feeding, and medication administration
* Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment
* Respond to and document any incidents or emergencies that occur during your shift
* Provide a calming presence and companionship to clients throughout the night
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar caregiving role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients
* Must speak fluent English
* Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations
* Compassionate and patient approach to working with vulnerable individuals
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
