Senior Advertising Adviser Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation) Fixed term: Until 6 May 2026 Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available) The Role The Senior Advertising Adviser plays a key role in the delivery of advertising activities across the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions through the provision of strategic advice, managing and facilitating advertising approvals through the departments and Victorian Government's advertising approvals process. The Senior Advertising Adviser reports to the Advertising and Strategic Planning Manager and is responsible for managing campaign strategy assessment, providing high quality strategic advice and guidance to campaign leads and senior stakeholders, and for undertaking ongoing review and improvement of the department's advertising approval processes and associated communications. Key Accountabilities include: With oversight from the Advertising and Strategic Planning Manager, lead the development and submission of the department-wide Annual Advertising Plan. Manage and coordinate the department's ongoing campaign advertising approval activity, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to processes, efficiency and user experience. Provide strategic advice to departmental staff on advertising policies, procedures, advertising campaign development, media-buy and developments in advertising mediums. The Team The position of Senior Advertising Adviser forms a part of the Strategic Communications branch within the Corporate Services group. The group works to build a safe, high-performing organisation where the department's people are supported to perform at their best. The group does this by providing strategic, operational and program delivery support services in creative and innovative ways. Strategic Communications is focused on building our department's reputation and delivering on the DJSIR purpose by raising the profile of our key initiatives, investments and programs. About You The role requires initiative, strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, and the ability to identify strategic opportunities to enhance approvals processes for departmental advertising. Ideal candidates will have strong project management abilities, attention to detail, and a talent for process design, development, and implementation. The role requires a confident presenter, with a strong focus on proactive engagement and advertising education, including with senior stakeholders.
