About the team
Our Data & AI team has over 500 specialists across Australia, passionate about combining business acumen and technological expertise to create data-centric solutions that solve complex problems and transform our clients' businesses.
We work with public and private sector clients to design and implement leading solutions. Our projects include digital twin solutions for transport, automation in healthcare, and sustainability initiatives. Our partnerships with vendors like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, and others keep us at the forefront of technology. We are recognized as leaders in Cloud, Data, Analytics, and AI.
About You
We are seeking a Manager with the following skills:
* 6+ years experience in Data and/or Software Engineering, with hands-on experience in Python, Java, or other backend technologies.
* Advanced SQL and database skills.
* Strong software development fundamentals, including version control, unit testing, and CI/CD practices.
* Good understanding of data fundamentals, databases, data warehouses, data lakes, or similar storage solutions.
* Experience with modern data platform technologies is highly regarded.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.
* Experience designing and developing cloud-native, event-driven microservices is preferred.
* Previous consulting or client-facing experience is highly regarded.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a flexible and dynamic environment.
* Technical certifications are a plus.
Additional Skills We Value:
* Familiarity with Databricks platform, Delta Lake, and Spark.
* Experience with dbt for data transformation.
* Designing and developing cloud-native microservices.
* Previous consulting experience.
* Technical certifications.
