Job Description
About the team and the role
As the largest team at SYD Airport, Group Operations influence the passengers experience from kerbside to take-off. Together, they proudly lead a world class operation that delivers memorable passenger experience every day. In a safe, secure, and seamless environment.
Reporting to the Corporate Systems Manager, the Senior Technical Analyst will provide Technology Systems Support for Sydney Airport’s corporate systems and provide consultancy for Business Process system integration.
The role involves managing and providing expertise for platforms like Oracle E-Business Suite and Salesforce, supporting corporate information systems, and coordinating with Technology teams, business units, and external vendors.
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
* Provide technical and functional support for a range of corporate applications, including:
o Oracle E-Business Suite
o Veovo Revenue Management (Aero Billing)
o Salesforce
o SAP SuccessFactors
o OpenText
* Collaborate with Finance and other business units to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements in partnership with support vendors.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle financial processes and integrations.
* Assist with system upgrades, patching, and testing to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
* Recommend and implement continuous improvements aligned with business priorities using existing applications.
* Monitor and resolve application issues via the Technology Service Desk, including on-site support for bug fixes, upgrades, and custom development.
* Represent the Corporate Systems team in projects, providing SME input and resolving issues with internal customers, suppliers, and project teams.
* Advise stakeholders on support strategies and project decisions, negotiating to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Manage application user accounts and privileges in accordance with Technology policies and security protocols.
* Train users on system procedures and business processes.
* Analyse and document detailed business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
* Raise and manage incidents, problems, and change requests related to corporate applications.
* Participate in the Technology on-call roster to support critical incidents outside business hours.
About you
* Tertiary qualification in Technology or Business with significant technology content.
* Extensive knowledge of technology systems and business processes in:
o Financial Management
o Billing and Revenue Recognition
o Human Resources
o Business Information Systems
* Techno-functional experience with Oracle EBS Financial modules is highly regarded.
* Experience supporting and enhancing billing systems is beneficial.
* Generalist experience with corporate applications and business processes, especially in financial management, HR, and CRM.
* Hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle EBS, Salesforce, SAP, or equivalent is essential.
* Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments, both independently and collaboratively.
* Strong documentation skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
* Broad experience in systems analysis, implementation, testing, training, and support.
* Ability to coordinate and lead contributions from cross-functional teams, including senior specialists.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Advanced knowledge of technology architectures, security concepts, and internal consulting practices.
* Ability to read and interpret software code to assist in troubleshooting and solution design.
