Nurse Unit Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Unit Manager to lead our clinical team in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Clinical Inpatient Unit, ensuring optimal resources and personnel.
* Act as the key interface between project teams, the clinical unit, and other departments.
* Oversee staff resourcing and training to ensure adherence to trial protocols, ICH GCP, and standard operating procedures.
* Manage clinical equipment servicing, maintenance, and calibration schedules.
* Conduct feasibility reviews, provide input on operational/logistical activities, and assist with the development of clinical trial protocols.
* Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing.
* Oversee the management of vendors and contractors related to clinical unit operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* APHRA-registered Division 1 Nurse (mandatory)
* Proven leadership and management experience in a clinical or trial setting
* Comprehensive knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and regulatory standards
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Experience in the conduct of early-phase clinical trials (desired)
* At least 12 months of experience in a management role is desirable
