What you'll do
As an Indigenous Employment Consultant in our Workforce Australia team, you'll:
* Conduct case management services to assist clients to overcome vocational and non-vocational barriers
* Mentor and support our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Participants to promote engagement and employability
* Actively promote clients and MatchWorks employment services to local employers and community stakeholders
* Deliver our Deadly Yakka program and cultural awareness to employers
What you'll bring
* An understanding of Indigenous protocols and culture, with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the issues and barriers facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Participants
* Strong communications skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders
* Well-organised approach to providing individualised services
* Proven ability to manage time and workloads effectively to business priorities in a changing environment
* Highly developed interpersonal skills
(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)
Bonus points for
* Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Participants
* Experience in a customer service, recruitment or employment consultancy setting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
