**How will I help?**
As the Principal Infrastructure Technical Lead, you will ultimately be responsible for providing expert services to support and advance Westpac's Enterprise Batch Service deployed on CA Workload Automation ESP edition, covering design, build and operations. You will also drive and implement the Batch Service strategic roadmap.
The responsibilities are as follows:
- You will be accountable and responsible for designing the architecture for batch flow, as well as maintaining and updating the batch architecture in line with business requirement.
- You will be involved in the development and governance of batch processes and standards, liaising with batch developers for optimal solution design for batch scripts.
- You will perform quality reviews of the newly developed batch flow/jobs prior to production deployment.
- You will provide technical leadership and support to a project team involved in migrating and converting schedules from legacy scheduling tools to Westpac's strategic scheduling tool.
- You will be responsible for batch flow optimisation to ensure we can rationalise and simplify the batch flows/tasks.
- Providing specialised third-level support and technical assistance on major incidents and issues to ensure their timely resolution
- Undertaking problem determination and root cause analysis for business impacting problems to ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented appropriately.
- Planning, reviewing, and assessing major proposed changes as required to ensure successful implementation of service changes.
- Ensuring the stability and availability of batch services, driving effective capacity planning, monitoring, and improvements to performance
- Engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood and appropriately translated into service requirements.
- Understanding business continuity requirements and providing expertise in the development and management of disaster recovery plans.
- Assessing latest developments in batch technology and continually evaluate and advise on operational aspects of new technology and its potential to enhance or replace existing systems to ensure that relevant new technologies are adopted.

**What do I need?**
- You will have extensive experience in CA Workload Automation ESP edition or other workload automation or batch scheduling solutions, hosted on the mainframe and midrange environments.
- You will have extensive experience with Batch Operations and Batch Scheduling and be a strategic thinker who can drive forward the strategic roadmap for Batch.
- You will bring exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and can appropriately elicit information, challenge, and influence stakeholders across a broad range of business functions, to enable the successful achievement of outcomes.
