The Role
Our client, a leading industry association, is seeking a dynamic and experienced GTO Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of their Apprenticeship Services department. This role is critical to the strategic growth, operational excellence, and compliance of their Group Training Organisation (GTO), and plays a key role in apprentice recruitment, host employer engagement, and safety management.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive strategic and operational planning for the Apprenticeship Services department
* Oversee apprentice/trainee recruitment, placement, safety, coaching, and retention
* Lead host employer sales initiatives and relationship management
* Ensure compliance with all GTO and WHS legislation and regulations
* Manage budgets, reporting, funding applications, and contractual obligations
* Lead and develop a high-performing team
* Maintain CRM and ensure accurate documentation and reporting
* Build partnerships with key stakeholders including TAFE, Department of Education, and Training Services NSW
About You
You’re a results-driven leader with a passion for vocational education, youth employment, and building strong industry relationships. You thrive in a high-performance culture and have a strong operational and strategic mindset.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Business Degree or MBA (or equivalent experience)
* Proven management experience in a business unit with >$5M turnover
* Strong background in GTO/VET operations and compliance
* Experience with WHS in the building and construction industry
* Knowledge of industrial awards, wage entitlements, and enterprise agreements
* Proven experience in funding applications, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement
