K.W. Jacobs Pty Ltd is a local, family owned and operated business that has been the leading roofing tiling company in Canberra and its surrounds for over forty years. We provide installations for new roofs, re-roofs, and extensions; whilst also being the primary supplier for new and pre used tiles in Canberra.
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join our team.
Duties:
* Payroll and Superannuation.
* Processing and payment of sub-contractor claims.
* Accounts payable/accounts receivable. Inter-company invoicing.
* Monthly/Quarterly BAS for two companies.
* Account reconciliation (bank statements, credit card, cash accounts).
* Purchasing of stock and maintaining inventory levels. Conduct regular stock counts.
* Manage office supplies and equipment.
* Management of motor vehicle registrations, fuel cards, and insurances.
* Overseeing new employee onboarding. Managing/Updating personnel details.
* Customer service, as required.
Requirements:
* Cert IV in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping.
* Proven experience in bookkeeping (Min 2yrs MYOB or Xero).
* Proven experience in an office and/or retail management environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to problem solve and improve systems.
* Ability to lift up to 15kgs.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
* Access to a reliable vehicle.
Preferred, but not essential:
* Experience in the construction industry advantageous.
* Forklift Licence, or willingness to obtain one.
