About the opportunity Stay Well, Student Support sits within the Vice President (Students) and Registrar portfolio, and is seeking a Student Support Officer (Loans & Accommodation) to join their team.In this role, you'll be the key point of contact for students navigating financial hardship and housing support. You'll provide practical advice on accommodation and tenancy rights, help manage student loans, and work directly with students to find the right support services. Your key responsibilities will include:Supporting students with accommodation needs and tenancy advice, including liaising with landlords and monitoring the UniStays platform.Managing student loan processes, including eligibility assessments, documentation and financial literacy support.Engaging with students face-to-face and via phone to provide compassionate, clear advice.Participating in cross-skilling opportunities, including contributing to student events and the broader UniLife team's success. More specifically, you will have:A qualification in finance, business administration, education or related areas.Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations, including student loan processes and repayment options. An understanding of NSW and QLD tenancy legislation would be advantageous.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence to engage students that may be experiencing financial hardship with empathy and professionalism.A team player attitude with strong time management and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems. The base salary ranges from $72,947 - $78,337 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation.
