What will your typical day look like?
As an early-career economist in our team, you'll contribute to high-impact projects that inform policy decisions across Australia.
Your work will span:
• Quantitative analysis and modelling, including the utilisation of large datasets
• Economic evaluation, including cost-benefit-analysis and impact assessments
• Public policy design, implementation and evaluation projects
• Preparing clear, evidence-based reports, briefings, and presentations for clients and decision-makers.
You'll be mentored by experienced economists and will have the opportunity to develop your technical, analytical and consulting skills within multi-disciplinary teams in a high performance and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you'll be part of a collaborative group of economists and policy advisers who make an impact in addressing Australia's most pressing employment, skills and economic participation challenges.

You're a motivated and qualified early career economist with professional experience working in government, the private sector or consulting.
You'll likely have:
• A strong academic background with a degree in Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy, or a related field
• Excellent quantitative, data manipulation and analytical skills, ideally including some combination of experience with Excel, R, or Stata
• An ability to communicate complex economic ideas clearly and persuasively to non-technical audiences
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for applied economic work that informs real-world decisions
• (Desirable) Experience in labour-market analysis, or employment and skills policy We're looking for people who bring fresh ideas and a drive to make an impact that matters.
