Our client is currently seeking Hatchery Assistants for their Hatchery in Mareeba. With a strong focus on team culture, safety, and fast-paced environment.
The position involves working in a Poultry Hatchery with a variety of duties. Working up to 20-30 hours per week. Starting at a rate of $31.61 p/h + $5 daily attendance bonus with the potential to gain more hours. Must be available for early morning starts and adaptable with start times.
Shifts are Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Friday starting from 7am.
Potential for career progression and may lead to permanent employment.
Must be residing in Mareeba, locals encouraged to apply!

Duties will include: (but not limited to)
- Counting hatched chicks
- Sorting eggs and stock rotation
- Cleaning transporter baskets
- Heavy lifting may be involved
- General site cleaning
- Operating a gurney
To be successful:
- Must have your own transport and driver’s licence
- Residing in Mareeba or suburbs around (not Cairns)
- MUST be double vaccinated
- Must NOT own or have any birds, chickens, or pigs at your residence
- Be fit and healthy
- Great numeracy skills
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Be flexible and available for various shifts
- Have birth certificate or passport
