Job Summary
Analyse and identify opportunities within Maintenance to deliver improved reliability and asset performance. Work in a manufacturing environment collaborating with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Calibration, PFT, and external service teams. This position is an initial 6 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse downtime data to identify trends and patterns.
* Optimise Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans in consultation with maintenance team members.
* Modify and upload plant manuals, including PM plans.
* Work closely with maintenance technicians to gain feedback from unplanned stoppages and PM shortcomings.
* Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to make spare parts recommendations, including criticality assessments and stock rationale.
* Create weekly and monthly Maintenance and Reliability KPIs and deliver performance metric updates.
* Manage the portfolio of assets to identify aging equipment and develop business cases for replacements, including obsolescence and write‑offs.
* Continuously review and update asset/equipment criticality.
* Lead root cause investigations into significant unplanned events and ensure actions are completed to prevent recurrence.
* Drive continuous improvement of CMMS data accuracy, including asset details, work frequency, and required parts and consumables.
* Liaise effectively with production regarding maintenance‑related issues.
* Apply creative thinking, tenacity, and dedication to improve asset performance and operational productivity.
Position Specific Skills & Challenges
* Prior experience as a Reliability or Process Engineer.
* Experience with Oracle EAM or other CMMS systems.
* High attention to detail.
* Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical disciplines.
* Trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical fields with relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Manufacturing or Reliability Engineer.
* Experience with CMMS.
