Your Clinical Environment
Your clinical playground includes:
* Full in-house laboratory (CBC, biochemistry, blood gas, coags, SediVue)
* IDEXX Extended Internal Medical Specialist Consultation Services after hours
* Advanced imaging: digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, 64-slice CT, and high-field MRI
* 3 dedicated surgical suites, 8 consulting rooms, and a dedicated grieving room
You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team in emergency, specialist surgery, internal medicine, oncology, orthopaedic medicine, rehabilitation, and behaviour—ensuring seamless case collaboration and holistic patient care.

Role Details
Your Role in the Emergency Team
* Emergency Department operates on weekdays (afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts until 8am)
* Weekends and public holidays: 24/7 coverage
You'll See a Mix Of
* Primary emergency consultations
* Referred cases from general practices
* Ongoing management of hospitalised specialist referral patients after hours, with detailed treatment plans
Shift Options That Fit Your Life
We offer a variety of shift lengths to suit different working styles and personal preferences:
* Urgent Care Shifts (6 hours) — fast-paced, consultation-focused shifts
* Hospital Care Shifts (10 hours) — longer shifts with inpatient management and continuity
We'll tailor a schedule to support your lifestyle and clinical goals.

* Competitive hourly rates from $70 to $115, depending on shift type, experience, and shift loading

Who You Are
* A registered (or eligible) veterinarian in the ACT
* Ideally 2+ years of experience, with some emergency exposure preferred
* A collaborative team player and strong communicator
