About the Role
Join the team at QT as a Full-Time CDP. Bring your skills, passion and knowledge for cooking premium local produce to the team. The signature restaurant at Jana offers nose to tail and cheek to cheek, down to earth dishes. Supporting the team across breakfast, lunch and dinner, we are looking for an experienced and driven chef.
Skills & Experience
* 2+ years' worth of experience as a CDP in hotels, restaurants, or bistros.
* Experience across different sections including pans, grill and larder.
* Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
* Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
* Attention to detail, well-presented and high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to multitask and perform under pressure, while still delivering a high standard.
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain product consistent of all food serviced from the kitchen, following standard recipes and proper portion control across all outlets.
* Prepare and present all required menu items—including sauces, soups, hot dishes, pantry items, and specialty dishes with strong recipe knowledge.
* Maintain excellent food storage, cleanliness, and workplace health and safety standards in all kitchen areas.
* Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs while upholding professional personal grooming and positive team relationships.
