Following a period of strong growth, they are now building a modern, high-performing Business Development function - a national team with multiple newly created roles across key locations.
The Role
This is not your typical 'service sales' role. As a Business Development Manager at Altius, you'll drive new revenue across their employer-facing solutions - including EAP and mental health programs, executive diagnostics, and WHS consulting.
Reporting to the Head of Customer, you'll be responsible for owning the full sales cycle: identifying opportunities, generating leads, engaging decision-makers, managing proposals, and closing deals. You'll operate as a trusted advisor - solving complex challenges for employers and designing integrated health and wellbeing solutions.
This greenfield opportunity sits within a respected and well-established organisation. You'll be walking into a business with incredible relationships - your job is to commercialise them by:
* Delivering an individual annual revenue target
* Leading outbound sales activity across your assigned region or vertical (e.g., aged care, education, resources, government)
* Identifying and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers across HR, Risk, WHS, and Executive Health
* Expanding and deepening existing client accounts through bundled or "plus one" services
* Building commercial proposals in collaboration with internal delivery teams
* Maintaining accurate pipeline reporting via CRM and sales dashboards
* Actively contributing to the development of a new commercial sales culture at Altius
What You Bring To The Role
You are a hunter with a strategic mindset - someone who can open doors and position value in complex environments.
Your background and skills include:
* Proven track record in consultative B2B sales, managing deals worth $100K-$500K+
* Experience in health, professional services, or wellbeing sectors (or a clear passion to learn)
* Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers and tailoring commercial discussions to their specific needs
* Commercial discipline: you're a confident pipeline owner, not afraid of cold outreach
* The ability to qualify a deal, build a business case, and close
* High levels of self-direction, professionalism, and client-centricity
* Comfort with both running structured sales processes and jumping in where required to solve problems and support customer needs
