Provide support to create, process and close FOI determinations
**Your new company**
This Federal Government agency are responsible for operating and supporting a national scheme for vulnerable Australians. In line with the recent development of a national Freedom of Information (FOI) team, this agency are looking to fill a number of vacancies responsible for providing timely, objective and strategic advice in response to the Ministers' objectives and obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1982.
**Your new role**
At the APS5 and 6 level, you will make FOI determinations in accordance with the FOI Act, working with requests of varying complexity. You will contribute to material for board papers, ministerial briefings and media releases, and mentor and support FOI Action Officers where required.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for these roles, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working in a records and/or information management role
- Accreditation in FOI is highly regarded
- Sound administrative skills and the ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In addition, you must have or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance and an Disability Screening Check
