Job Opportunity:
A Marine Piling Engineer is required to support the design and delivery of nearshore piling works for a marine infrastructure project in Sunbury-on-Thames.
We are seeking a skilled Marine Piling Engineer to assist in the design and specification of marine piling systems, prepare method statements, technical documentation, and risk assessments, oversee on-site pile installation and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations, coordinate pile driving logs, site surveys, and testing procedures, support quality assurance, record keeping, and as-built documentation, and work closely with contractors, divers, surveyors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth execution.
* Design and specify marine piling systems to meet project requirements.
* Prepare and maintain method statements, technical documentation, and risk assessments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Oversee on-site pile installation, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
* Coordinate pile driving logs, site surveys, and testing procedures to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
* Support quality assurance and record-keeping activities, including as-built documentation.
* Collaborate with contractors, divers, surveyors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Experience in marine piling or heavy civil engineering (nearshore/offshore) is required.
* Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, pile design, and marine construction methods is essential.
* Familiarity with pile driving analysis tools (e.g. PDA, CAPWAP) is advantageous.
* Valid CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS certification preferred.
