Role: Program Finance Controller (SAP/ERP)
Contract: 15 months
Location: Brisbane
We are helping a public sector in finding a Program Finance Controller (SAP/ERP) to join a finance team in Brisbane. This is a hands-on role critical to the financial monitoring, assurance, and reporting of a large-scale ERP transformation initiative. You will work closely with project managers and executives to ensure the financial health of the program, managing everything from complex forecasting to vendor invoicing within a fast-paced, professional environment.
What You Will Do:
* Manage daily and weekly financial forecasting and reporting for a large program involving multiple project managers and stream leads.
* Act as the primary lead for the creation of purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, and liaison with technology vendors regarding financial matters.
* Perform critical month-end reporting across various cost models and provide consolidated reporting at project, program, and portfolio levels.
* Collaborate with program leadership to set and manage budgets, including phase forecasting and tracking all labour and non-labour costs.
* Influence project managers in defining forecasts and implementing portfolio finance and procurement strategies into project delivery.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
* Over 5 years of proven experience in project finance or contract management, specifically focusing on technology vendors and systems integrators.
* Expertise in project and financial reporting requirements, with a demonstrated ability to resolve complex financial issues efficiently.
* Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage expectations across a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong ability to communicate deliverables, budgets, risks, and dependencies clearly through documentation and executive presentations.
* Proven experience working within virtual and cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments to meet strict deadlines.
* Managing large vendor invoice reconciliations involving complex data - licence bundles, expiry dates, and cross-checking invoice numbers.
* Proficiency in PowerBI (creating/editing reports) and SAP (specifically for PO reconciliation and journals).
