Are you a passionate and creative Chef, looking for your next challenge? Fitzy's Toowoomba are looking for the right chef to continue their strong focus on high end, quality pub food and would welcome you to join their journey.
You will play an important role in bringing to life a fresh, innovative menu that celebrates premium ingredients and elevated pub classics. You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver consistently high quality dishes with care, precision and creativity. This role is about more than cooking, it's about being part of a dynamic team that values efficiency, organisation and pride in every plate. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, eager to learn and committed to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
What you will need:
· The possession of recognised culinary training and employment experience
· A commercial cookery certification and preferably, you will have obtained safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor
· Someone who has ambition, raw talent, and a passion for food
· Being open to feedback and willing to experiment with new ideas is a big plus
· Thriving in a fast-paced team environment is key
· The ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manner
So, how do you fit into the picture?
· Must be available over a 7 day roster working lunch and dinner shifts including weekends and some public holidays
· Experience on all sections including larder, plating, grill and pans will be essential
· Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage
· Food preparation
· General kitchen cleaning duties
· Be able to work autonomously
· Be able to work under pressure
· Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
· Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
