Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to patients at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH). They will work closely with Surgical Registrars and Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) to improve the delivery of general surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake approved general surgical outpatient and inpatient services.
* Participate in after-hours Registrar/Consultant on-call rosters.
* Provide leadership and mentoring for surgical registrars and RMOs in training.
* Assist with quality improvement, audit, and service improvement within the Department of Surgery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful applicant must possess a medical degree and have current registration with the Medical Board of Australia. They should also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
