The roleWe’re excited to introduce a newly created Production and Demand Planner role, established to support the continued growth of our business and the expansion of our product and customer portfolio. Reporting to the Director, you’ll be responsible for building demand forecasts and production schedules that balance customer needs, production capability, raw materials and compliance requirements. This role sits at the centre of the business and works closely with Sales, Operations, QA, Procurement and Warehouse teams.
What you’ll be doingForecast & demand planningCollate, review and consolidate customer forecastsBuild and maintain rolling 3‑month forecasts and 6‑month indicative forecastsProactively manage seasonality and forecast accuracyIdentify potential raw material or packaging shortages early and work closely with ProcurementProduction planning & schedulingDevelop and maintain rolling production schedules (up to 8 weeks)Plan efficient production runs with strong consideration of allergen management and equipment availabilityEnsure plans meet regulatory, customer and certification requirements (BRC, Halal, Kosher, testing schedules)Communicate clearly and proactively with internal teams and customers around delivery timelines and any risksCross‑functional collaborationAct as a key link between Sales, Operations, QA, Procurement and WarehouseLead and contribute to production planning meetingsFlag current and future capacity constraints and support demand balancing decisionsWork with the warehouse team to ensure stock reporting is accurateContinuous improvementAnalyse trends to improve forecast accuracy, line utilisation and changeover efficiencyParticipate in or lead planning, system or workflow improvement initiatives

About youYou’re an organised, proactive planner who enjoys solving problems and working closely with others. You’re comfortable working with data, but you also understand the importance of clear communication and strong relationships.You’ll bring:3–5 years’ experience in a similar planning role within FMCGTertiary qualifications in supply chain, operations, business or similarStrong forecasting and production planning capabilityExperience using ERP systems and Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detail with a practical, can‑do attitudeThe ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑moving environment
