Job description
* Integration & ETL Development - Design, build, and optimise integrations using the Workato platform (REST/SOAP APIs, file-based, database, SFTP, and application connectors).
* Develop complex ETL workflows including data transformations, data validation, error handling, and logging.
* Ensure integrations follow best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
* Build reusable components, connectors, and recipe templates where appropriate.
* Collaboration & Delivery - Work closely with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
* Work with Solution Designers and architects to align with enterprise integration patterns and standards.
* Collaborate with business teams to clarify data mapping, logic, and transformations.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, estimation sessions, and sprint planning.
* Project Lifecycle Participation - Contribute to all project phases including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and transition.
* Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
* Provide hypercare support post-go-live.
* Documentation & Knowledge Transfer - Prepare technical design documents, data mapping documents, integration specifications, and support guides.
* Document Workato recipes, environment configurations, and operational instructions.
* Support handover to BAU teams including walkthroughs, training, and support knowledge transfer sessions.
* Operational Support - Provide troubleshooting support during development, testing, and early life support.
* Ensure monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms are implemented for all integrations.
* Assist in defining operational runbooks and ensuring integrations are production-ready.
Core Skills & Capabilities required
* Proven hands-on experience designing and developing integrations and ETL processes using the Workato platform.
* Strong understanding of file-based and API integrations, authentication methods, and common data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
* Experience with cloud enterprise applications (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) is an advantage.
* Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working in enterprise project environments with cross-functional teams.
* Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
* Experience using GitHub (or similar) for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation across environments.
* Workato integration recipes, ETL workflows, supporting scripts, and connectors.
* Technical design documentation and mapping specifications.
* Test support, defect fixes, and UAT assistance.
* Deployment readiness tasks and BAU handover packs.
* Knowledge transfer to internal support teams.
