This role involves both technical and creative aspects playing a key role in elevating the company's digital presence, and supporting sales and marketing goals through a robust, seamless and engaging online platform. In summary the role includes; Building, maintaining and continually upgrading our website; to better showcase our diverse and expansive, globally sourced BLINDS, CURTAINS products, ensuring our web and online presence provides a fully functional, visually appealing, user-friendly experience. Providing web technology solutions and services; Develop and integrate customized web solutions to meet business needs and enhance customer engagement.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and maintain the organization's website, ensuring that it is up-to-date, properly functioning, and visually appealing.
- Regularly monitor website performance, conduct audits, and implement necessary improvements to ensure optimal speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience. Collaborate with web developers and designers to implement website enhancements, updates, and new features as needed.
- Perform regular backups of the website and maintain a disaster recovery plan to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
- Optimize website content, metadata, and URLs for search engines to improve organic search rankings and drive more traffic to the website.
- Monitor website analytics and generate reports to track key performance indicators, such as traffic, conversion rates, and user engagement.
- Ensure website security by implementing appropriate measures, such as SSL certificates, firewalls, and regular vulnerability scanning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, such as broken links, error messages, and usability problems.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in web administration and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide support and training to internal users on content management systems, website maintenance, and best practices for creating and publishing web content.
**Web Administrator Required Skills**:
- Proficiency in web development languages, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of content management systems, such as WordPress or Drupal, and experience in managing and updating websites using these platforms.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to monitor website performance and user behaviour.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve website issues promptly.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to optimize website content for search engine visibility.
- Solid understanding of website security measures, including SSL certificates, firewalls, and vulnerability scanning.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide support to internal users.
- Ability to stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in web administration.
