We are currently seeking a passionate Sommelier to drive the wine program at Delta Rue, our Vietnamese - French restaurant at the recently renovated Sofitel Wentworth, which recently achieved 3 goblets at the Wine List of the Year Awards.

An extensive and wide reaching wine list compliments the bold flavours to help provide a distinctive experience unlike any other in Sydney.
About the Job:
We are looking for someone to take reins of the wine program at Delta Rue, continue to elevate the beverage experience in the venue and take a leadership role in service, working alongside the Restaurant Leader to continually drive improvement in our guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Continue to develop and drive the wine program at Delta Rue
* Impart your passion for wine and all things beverage with the team, and drive education through training sessions and briefings
* Develop close ties with suppliers and represent
* Stock maintenance, ordering and cellar organization
* Support the operations of the restaurant with a willingness to jump into multiple areas
* Uphold compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements
Requirements:
* Previous Sommelier experience, preferably in a high-volume venue
* Strong wine knowledge and passion for continuous learning and sharing with others.
* Exceptional guest service and communication skills, with a flair for storytelling.
* Experience in team leadership, training, and performance development.
* Familiarity with stock management systems, supplier coordination, and beverage cost control.
* Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the hospitality industry, including RSA.
* Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
